Important Enrollment Update for Partner School Cadets (Baker, USM, Washburn, Haskell, UMKC, Rockhurst, and Park)

Starting Fall 2025, all students participating in Army ROTC through our partner schools must also enroll as non-degree seeking students at the University of Kansas (KU). This allows KU to provide you access to online resources like Canvas and Microsoft Teams, and helps track classroom space and enrollment more accurately.

🔁 What’s Changing?

Even though you're attending a different university, you’ll now do two things each semester:

  1. Enroll in your ROTC course through your home university (just like you always have).
  2. Apply to KU as a non-degree seeking student and enroll in the same ROTC course through KU’s system.

👉 Important:

  • You do not pay tuition to KU for ROTC. You only pay at your home school.
  • There is no application fee to become a non-degree seeking KU student.

✅ What You Need to Do:

  1. Apply to KU as a Non-Degree Seeking Student
  2. Wait for Your KU Admission Email
    • Once admitted, you’ll receive login info for Enroll & Pay (KU's registration system).
  3. Enroll in the Correct ROTC Class Through KU
    • You’ll pick the lecture section, and it will auto-enroll you in the correct lab section.
    • If you’re taking Advanced Courses (MSL 301/302 or 401/402), you will also need a permission code. These will be sent separately.
