In his current role, BG Admiral oversees the planning and development of all Army force structure of 1,010,500 personnel in across the Active, National Guard and Army Reserve components.

Commissioned in the Armor Branch from the University of Kansas in 1994, Brigadier General Admiral holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular Biology and a Master of Science in Campaign Planning & Strategy from the Joint Advanced Warfighting School. He is also a graduate of the Royal College of Defence Studies, London where he was a Senior Service College fellow.

Brigadier General Admiral has served in Armor, Mechanized Infantry and Stryker formations during his career. His first duty assignment was at Fort Lewis, where he served as a Tank Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer in 1st Battalion, 32nd Armor and 1st Battalion, 23rd Infantry. Following the Armor Officer Advanced Course, he was assigned to 1st Battalion, 72nd Armor in the Republic of Korea where he served as the Battalion S4, followed by command of A Company and Headquarters Company.

Following company command served as an Observer-Controller/Trainer at the National Training Center, Small Group Instructor for the Armor Captain Career Course at Fort Knox, KY.

From 2005-2009, he served in the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Hood and in Iraq as a Battalion S3, Battalion Executive Officer in 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry followed by assignment as the Deputy Chief of Plans for Multi-National Division-Baghdad during the Surge in 2007-2009. In 2009, he was selected as the Aide-de-Camp to the 36th Army Chief of Staff.

In 2011, he assumed command of 1st Battalion, 36th Infantry (SBCT) at Fort Bliss and deployed to Afghanistan, following battalion command he served as the Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief of Staff of 1st Armored Division. Following his tour in London, he became the 76th Regimental Commander of the 3d U.S. Cavalry Regiment (SBCT) at Fort Hood and deployed to Afghanistan.

In 2017, he was selected to serve as Executive Officer to the Commanding General of United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command, US Forces Korea (UNC/CFC/USFK). His General Officer assignments have been as the Deputy Commanding General for Maneuver, 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson and Commander, Task Force Southeast in Paktiya, Afghanistan, and as the 52nd Commandant of the US Army Armor School at Fort Benning. 

Brigadier General Admiral's awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal; Legion of Merit (3 Awards including C Device), Bronze Star Medal (4 Awards), the Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal (7 Awards), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (4 Awards) the Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, and the Army Staff Identification Badge.

His wife, Charmain, is an attorney in Virginia and they have an 8th grader who enjoys swimming, rock climbing and zip lining.
