LTC Tracey A. Olson received her commission in the Quartermaster Corps through the University of Hawaii (Manoa) where she was a Distinguished Military Graduate. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Chaminade University of Honolulu and a Master of Science Degree in Adult Education from Kansas State University. She did a branch transfer to the Adjutant General Corps in April 2004.
LTC Olson has held numerous progressive command and staff positions to include: Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer, 1st US Army support Battalion in Sinai, Egypt; Platoon Leader and Battalion S1, 203d Forward Support Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Benning, Georgia; Group S4, 1st Personnel Group; Company Commander, 22d Personnel Services Battalion; Chief, Readiness & Officer Strength Manager, 1st Corps at Fort Lewis, Washington; Brigade S1, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division and Deputy G1, 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Prior to her selection as Professor of Military Science, she served as an Observer Coach/Trainer and Adjutant for Operations Group Delta, Mission Command Training Program at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
Her military training and education include: Quartermaster Officer Basic Course; Combined Logistics Captain’s Career Course (CLC3); Combined Arms and Services Staff School (CAS3); Command and General Staff College; and Airborne, Rigger and Air Assault school.
Her awards and decorations includes: Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (3OLC), Valorous Unit Award, Combat Action Badge, Rigger Badge, Parachutist’s Badge, and Air Assault Badge.
