Master Sergeant Jason F. Gregory was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma and raised in San Antonio, Texas.  He enlisted into the Army in October 1997 as an Infantryman, and completed Airborne school in April 1998.  Previous assignments include, 1-509th PIR at Fort Polk LA; 2-187th; 101st ABN DIV, at Fort Campbell KY; 2-503rd PIR, 173rd ABCT Vicenza Italy; 1-507th PIR (Airborne Instructor) at Fort Benning GA; 2-504th PIR, 82nd ABN DIV at Fort Bragg NC.  He currently serves as the Military science Instructor here at the University of Kansas.

Additionally, Master Sergeant Gregory deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom I (OIF I); Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom VI and VIII (OEF VI & OEF VIII) while assigned to 2-503rd PIR; Operation Enduring Freedom XII and XIV while assigned to 2-504th PIR.

Among Master Sergeant Gregory’s awards and decorations are the Bronze Star Medal (2 Oak leaf cluster), Army Commendation Medal with valor (x2), Army Commendation Medal (4 Oak leaf cluster) Army Achievement Medal (4 Oak Leaf Cluster), Presidential Unit Citation medal, Valorous Unit Citation medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation medal (Oak leaf cluster), Afghanistan Campaign Medal (with 5 Stars), Iraqi Campaign Medal (with 2 Star), Global War on terror Expeditionary medal, Army Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral V).

Master Sergeant Gregory has earned his Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Master Parachutist Badge with Combat Star, Pathfinder Badge and Air Assault Badge.  He has advanced leadership education from the Basic Leader course, the Advanced Leader course and the Senior Leader course.  He is a graduate of the Cadre and Faculty Development Corse (CFDC) and is currently pursuing a BS in Organizational Leadership and Learning.
