Sergeant First Class Adrian T. Heilbronner is a native of Wichita, Kansas. He enlisted in the United States Army in August 2003 and completed United States Army Infantry School Boot Camp at Fort Benning, Georgia graduating as an Infantryman. He served as part of 2nd Battalion, 503rd INF 173rd ABN BDE, in Vicenza, Italy deploying to Operation Enduring Freedom in 2005 as part of the 173rd ABN BDE. SFC Heilbronner then PCS’d to Fort Campbell in July 2006 and was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 327 Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 101st ABN Division in Fort Campbell, KY where he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2007 and Operation Enduring Freedom in 2010.
SFC Heilbronner has held positions of responsibility and leadership to include Assistant Machine Gunner, Team leader and Squad Leader, Weapons Squad Leader, and Platoon Sergeant while assigned to Bravo Company, 2/327IN. SFC Heilbronner’s military education includes Warrior Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Senior Leaders Course, Combat Lifesaver Course and Fire Safety Course.
SFC Heilbronner’s awards and medals include the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, National Defense Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, NATO Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal (3) Combat Infantryman’s Badge and Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Parachutist Badge, Pathfinder Badge, and the Air Assault Bade.
