MSG Neil R. Moore was born in Newton, KS.  MSG Moore joined the United States Army in June 1999 and has been stationed at the following duty stations: Ft. Lewis, WA; Ft. Benning, GA; Camp Frank D. Merrill, GA and Fort Riley KS.

MSG Moore has deployed 13 times in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.  MSG Moore has been assigned to the following duty during his military career: Grenadier, Sniper, Sniper Spotter, Sniper Team Leader, Sniper Section Leader, Pre-Ranger Instructor, Ranger Indoctrination Program Instructor, Weapons Squad Leader, Rifle Platoon Sergeant, Scout Platoon Sergeant, Ranger Instructor, Rifle Company First Sergeant and Mechanized Infantry Company First Sergeant. MSG Moore has attended the following military schools thus far in his career including: Basic Airborne Course, 75th RGR Ranger Indoctrination Program, United States Army Ranger School, SOTIC Level 2,  Jumpmaster, Combatives Level One, Ranger Instructor Certification Course, Warrior Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Army Basic Instructor Course and Company Commander /First Sergeant Pre-Command Course.

MSG Moore has been awarded the following military awards and decorations: Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Novice Parachutist Badge, Senior Parachutist Badge, Ranger Tab, Ecuadorian Parachutist Badge, Bronze Star Medal (2 OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (1 OLC), Army Commendation Medal ( 5 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (4 OLC), Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Valorous Unit Award, Good Conduct Medal (fifth award), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Operation Enduring Freedom ( 2 stars), Operation Iraqi Freedom (4 Stars), Noncommissioned Officer, Professional Development Ribbon (third award), Overseas Service Ribbon (fourth award), NATO ISAF Medal, National Defense Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon.
