Mr. Joe Midgley served in the United States Army as an Infantryman from June 2000 to September 2007, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. He has served in Korea and Fort Riley, deploying twice to Iraq in 03-04 and 05.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social Studies from Kansas State University in May 2012. His professional experience includes Eligibility Representative for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, Human Resources Assistant for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and his current position of Admissions and Scholarship officer for the Department of the Army ROTC program at the University of Kansas.

His awards and decorations include: Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, three Army Commendation Medals, three Army Achievement Medals, two Good Conduct Medals, Combat Infantry Badge, and Recruiter’s Gold Badge with three sapphires.
